800 Words: The Transmigration of Philip K. Dick is based on the life of ground-breaking science fiction author, Philip K. Dick, complete with secret agents, Dick’s dead sister and a talking cat. 800 Words is a surreal landscape where memories bleed into each other, fusing and merging in a funny, dark trip – not unlike a Philip K. Dick novel.

PREVIEWS ABOUT THE SHOW
This activity has been made possible, in part, by the McKnight Advancement Grant and by funds provided by the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council through an appropriation by the Minnesota Legislature.
“An intriguing journey through a complex and troubled mind...Seifert has gathered Dick's untamed impulses in a performance that finally gives Dick — with all of his not-of-this-world — a needed and welcome sense of humanity.”
“Stewart juggles some heady material here,...but it's leavened with enough wit and stagecraft to keep it accessible even for audiences that aren't hard-core Dick fans. A stellar cast doesn't hurt either. Luverne Seifert fills the stage to bursting in an earthy, yet transcendent performance as the writer.”
